The Queen calls Tom Jones ‘Sir’? Not that I’m complaining - I distinctly recall my elders (female) rave and essentially go ‘ga-ga’ over the man. I don’t think anyone had a bad word to say about Mr. Jones.

Jones was knighted in 2006, so yes, the Queen would call him “Sir”.
When you are knighted by the Queen, you are given the title “Sir,” just like Sir Winston Churchill. Surely you have heard of him?
