San Jose finished with 98 points during the year, a few other teams in the West were in the hundreds, so SJ is a tiny bit of a Cinderella team that has gotten hot in the playoffs, the Predators took them to seven, this current one is at least 6, but they certainly are playing well. It isn’t over though yet.
When the Sharks are on, they are impossible to beat. But like the Lightning, they are a hot and cold team and seem to lose focus at home. Like Pittsburgh, their forechecking is exceptional and keeps the game in the offensive zone. I’ve been an avid fan of the NHL for more than 40 years and I can’t remember a team with a better power play than SJ. They are a lot of fun to watch.
As it got nearer to game time, I was thinking maybe the Penguins had a chance, so ditto, look for St. Louis to come out strong. (watch, I’ll be wrong but so?)
