The commentators were going on and on about this hit tonight in the Caps/Flyers game. Looked pretty bad to me and brainless too, what a dope Bellemare was.
“Worst hit: Dmitry Orlov was shoved head-first into the boards by Pierre-Edouard Bellemare with 7 minutes, 43 seconds to play in the game, resulting in a good deal of on-ice cursing, a scrum, a five-minute major and a game misconduct for Bellemare for checking from behind.”
I don’t know if more disciplining will ensue, the commentators were saying that play could have broken someone’s neck. Disappointing to see.
Typical Philly crowd behavior.
Booing the injured player. Throwing the bracelets handed out to honor Ed Snider onto the ice - and getting a delay of game penalty for their team.
Shameful.
