The propaganda ploy is to give Americans trash news to keep their minds off of the real news. That way the oligarchy has nothing to worry about. And, the dopes eat it right up!

I think it is geared to people with IQ of 100 or less.

And boy do they want to control the internet.

Mesh networking may serve to deter a complete takeover (central command and control) of the server system. Removing DNS for 2 days was fun last week... right?

One way of looking at mesh is as messaging by a bucket brigade, at least close to the two end nodes wanting to communicate. With more buckets and branches, exponential propagation could carry messaging to all devices participating. The shortcoming is the range and speed of single devices one-to-another. The guys working the Pirate Bay type angle know about decentralized serving of content, and could likely scrounge a secondary network.
