Cruz had too much time and other things in his hands if you ask me.
Words fail me as I attempt to convey how important this is to my view of the election in general and of Sen. Cruz in particular.
You know I realize Trump is not a true conservative BUT the press has to be drooling over the prospect of repackaging the McCain, Romney, Dole, ect conservative attacks if Cruz gets it.
Government has no role in that.
I’m glad he defended Texas law.
This is just a small taste of what the left will do to Cruz if he’s nominated. I think they’ve accepted that he can’t beat Trump so now they want to make sure he’s of no consequence back in the senate.
His job was to defend the law. If he hadn’t, there’d be FReepers with twisted panties because he should have.
First Cruz is talking about rat sex, and now this. He seems to have a thing for this topic.
David Corn and Mother Jones?
Teddy is Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs
He made that argument with one hand tied behind his back.
Actually, he had a valid point. The sexual right to privacy was something courts developed 50 years or so ago and have been using to overturn state laws.
'What's all this talk I hear about banning dill dough?'
Well duh. Why do you think he had to resort to hookers?
He was Solicitor General of Texas at the time. His job was to defend the law that had been enacted by the State of Texas.
In this case, it was probably an outdated and overly intrusive law, On the other hand, I’m not sure society is greatly benefitted by the unchecked proliferation of “Adult” businesses that this law was intended to regulate.
Only a master debater could argue such a difficult case.
Did they ban dairy milking machines too?
I look forward to the expansive review of the cases Hillary took as a lawyer, and the assignment of her clients’ positions as her own.
That is the slime that David Corn is doing here and others are joining him apparently.
I am not surprised that this would interest David Corn.
The case being argued here concerning the 14th amendment vs states rights is the same argument made in Lawrence, Roe and he gay marriage.
