Rush NEVER "took her side" of the story. He merely reported what was known, as the story unfolded. NOTHING was "known". There was rumor and innuendo and hearsay, but nothing was known. But hey, rumor and innuendo makes great grist for the mill!

That was the day after the event. Rust recounted what happened...and said there was no way Trump could have known anything about it. That’s a LONG way from taking Field’s side.
After that monologue, the incident was NOT MENTIONED on Rush’s show for another 17 days.
