Have a friend whos 21 yo daughter was recently denied being placed on the liver transplant list. In her case, the damage was done by an attempted suicide by overdose of prescription meds. As this was an intentional act and she would not cooperate with the docs and said she didn’t want to live and would try again, her parents agreed with the decision; even though it was hard.
This poor little baby has a chance to live a full and happy life. Her disability has nothing to do with anything she or her parents could help. The decision smells of revenge for not following Dr. advice to abort. Not to mention the Muslime angle.
True, but completely irrelevant. Do you give a heart to a kid with other serious health problems thus denying some other kid without other serious health problems the chance to live just because the problems weren't the fault of the parents?

You know this for a fact do you? Are you a pediatrician? Because if you're not, then you're putting your opinion against the opinion of someone who actually knows the case. And what about some other kid who doesn't get a heart because this one does? Presumable the other kids on the list are not suffering from some other disease and actually have a better chance "to live a full and happy life."
You and the other mouthy types on this thread are so full of false compassion for one kid because they haven't seen the rest of the list.
You're the classic examples of what Bastiat referred to is "What is Seen and What Is Not Seen" You're only looking at one aspect - the benefits to the one kid without looking at the loss or injury to other kids.
