This is ALWAYS what you hear from the losing side. Irony is how many millions of dollars have been wasted by Cruz, Kasich, Bush, and Rubio with destructive rhetoric aimed at Donald Trump; literally, hundreds of millions of dollars.
All destructive rhetoric will cease when we have a winner.
Go Trump!!
I'll be voting for Trump in six days, so I'm on the winning side too.
However, I want Cruz to stay in for as long as Kasich does. The conversation changes when there are only two candidates left, and I do not want to risk that dynamic with Kasich. The best situation for a candidate like Trump is obviously being the only one left, but three candidates left is the second best situation - far better than having two left or a large field. Trump and I both agree with Cruz on the most important issues for the next eight years, while Kasich is on the other side for almost every key issue.
I didn't comment on this before, but I should have. That money was not wasted. All that money, and the systematic effort by establishment figures, including the media, to stop Trump, did a huge amount of good. Between the biased debate questions, the biased attacks by other candidates, and the biased reporting, no one in the country had any doubt that the establishment sensible people despises was opposed to Trump. He would have had to work much harder without so much help from MSNBC, CNN, NYT, JJeb, Rubio, Christie, and even Fox News.
Certainly it's ironic that the establishment effort had the opposite effect from what was intended, but It's not a waste. Having that many establishment dollars spent, finally, in a good cause has entertained me for most of the past year and helped our side.
