This is all I'm going to say regarding the Republican race for the nomination in 2016.
I started out supporting Trump, not for his politics, but for the way he was poking a stick in the eye of the GOPe, Democrats, media and everyone else who attacked him.
I called it a breath of fresh air in a world of conformists.
I shied away from him and leaned toward Cruz after Trump just seemed to go off-hook (telecom term) with his rhetoric. I expressly wished he'd calm down the language and become more presidential.
To this day, I lean 60/40 Trump over Cruz. But make no mistake,
I WOULD CRAWL OVER BROKEN GLASS TO VOTE FOR TRUMP OR CRUZ.
Hitlary or Rumplehair need to be stopped, period, end of statement.
I have grandchildren. I want to go out of this world with a hope they will grow up in the United States of America, not the United States of the United Nations, land of free stuff and no toilet paper.
That is all.
It wasn’t against you at all. And later I said it wasn’t to late for a trump/Cruz ticket. I was jumped all over for that by the way. I can’t win either way. Lol.
I’m in San Jose. The only signs I see are for Bernie. I don’t see Hillary, Trump, or Cruz.
I see my friends going for Cruz. We are middle age church wonen.
Its a darn shame that we wound up with two flawed candidates and one with good experience but no following.
God help the country. Unless Hillary is indicted we are doomed.
I grew up in SJ, moved to Sacramento area about 13 years ago. Much more conservative here outside of the city of Sac itself. The Roseville, Folsom foothills area is pretty solid Republican. I’ve seen a lot of Trump signs here. Down there the Trump supporters probably stay in the closet.
Well said.
Exactly.
I’m having lunch Friday with a friend who’s pretty tied in with a lot of high level conservatives.
He was involved at a very high level with the birthed movement and doesn’t feel Cruz is eligible. He also can’t stand Trump.
My belief is that the time for those opinions is now, during the primaries. After the candidate is chosen, we get behind him fully to beat the liberal alternative.
I am 60-40 for Cruz-Trump. I agree. I will do everything I can to get either of those 2 elected over a RAT.
I am shocked at the imbecilic rants of too many people here at FR over these last few months about either of the candidates.
