No matter what Trump has said, no matter how crass he has been, it is nothing compared to the unprincipled leadership in the GOPe, the lack of leadership in Congress, and the lilly-livered way Congress has folded to the active conversion to Marxism perpetrated by the current occupant of the White Crib. I blame McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, Romney, McCain, Graham, Rubio, and the Gang of Eight shenanigans. Trump is a symptom, not a disease. Mikey has it wrong - the GOPe is dysfunctional and lacks any desire for introspection. Reince will be officiating at the funeral of a big dead elephant in Cleveland unless they kiss and make up with Trump and unify the party. Perhaps then there can be an enema and clear out the GOPe and the corrupt donor class.
You are spot on. The spineless leaders of the last eight years of Republicans have brought the party to this place. I don’t car if you are a Trump or a Cruz supporter. We are both wandering in a political desert searching for a home.
