Have you seen “Look Who’s Back” (Er ist wieder da)? It’s a German film currently on Netflix. Hitler appears in current day (no explanation given). People think he’s a comedian playing a role. He learns the citizens are upset about the immigration/refugee crisis and the economy, and uses that to his advantage. It was fascinating (and creepy) to watch him use modern-day culture to his benefit. Funny at first, but it turned. It also took a left-turn by using real-life footage. But not enough to not recommend the film.

Thanks. I’m looking it up. There is an old after school special from aroun 1980 that I saw when it was first aired. It’s available in its entirety on Youtube. I was recommending it to people during Obama’s 2008 run as a poignant vision of how modern americans could fall for another “hitler”. And I’ve been trying to get people to watch it regarding Trump since late last summer.
I Said, back in 2009, that Obama reminded me of Hitler, but then changed it to be: Obama reminds me of Mussolini, and his FOLLOWERS remind me of Hitler’s followers. And I’m now seeing the same thing with many Trump followers.
And to be clear, Trump was one of my favorites when I wasn’t taking him too seriously. He was like a “super Rush Limbaugh”, bringing important talking points into the main stream and bulldozing a path for the “real” candidates. I was even angry at Michael Medved for badmouthing him so much. But when he didn’t fade, the scales were removed from my eyes. I’m not the only one. Every month, more and more people see what is actually going on here, while more and more are also becoming followers. He’s still a polarizer. That is actually a good thing. He is exposing people for who they really are and where they are really coming from. That is ALWAYS good.
BTW, the movie can be seen here:
