I don’t trust Rove or the GOPe.
If I had to guess, I would say that GOP establishment realizes that Trump is going to be the nominee so they are pretending to cozy up to him now. After Trump gets the nomination, the GOPe will try to undermine him and help Hillary get elected. The GOPe wants to keep the status quo and that would be Hillary.
