We had a foreign exchange student for a week from South America (the details are foggy), but I remember she had Supertramp “breakfast in America” and that was exotic.
Probably not-I was a Latina Catholic kid-but I grew up on a ranch in BFE, not a burb-everything and anything that grownups talked about in low voices when they believed all the kids were otherwise occupied, and that was accompanied by gasps, snorts and giggles, exclamations like oh, chica sucio, come on, man-no s***?, etc not only fired our curiosity, but promised to be something naughty and therefore irrestible...
I still like Supertramp...
