If you are right, my PhD is worthless.

They could at least let him vote in the election.

There were only 3 races when you and I went to school, but the powers that be seem to have changed that assessment in the present day!

I guess we're just two old fossils. After a little research, the number, according to which source you read, ranged from 0 to thousands. It seems every ethnic group now gets referred to as a race. The U.N. uses the term ethnic groups, so I guess that is the PC answer.

That over-the-land-bridge to an empty continent theory was the most prevalent for decades, even though it made no sense at all-I’m glad to see it taking so many hits at last-obviously the question isn’t who discovered America-it is who didn’t...

There are 3 races-but a lot of people haven’t taken the time to look up the definition of a “race” and an “ethnic group”-that is probably why they are confused and call every group of people from every country a “race”...

You are very kind.

I consider adults who do that stupid.

That’s the truth! Even if it was by accident, many groups stepped foot on these shores over the centuries.

You can’t help but wonder at the researchers who don’t realize people living near oceans were inventive and practical enough to know if they built a boat out of whatever was at hand and propelled it with paddles or a sail, they could follow the fish and seals and hunt them right there. Sea levels were much lower in the ice age, too-if a group was curious about what and who was “over there”, it wasn’t such a hazardous a trip if they could stay within sight of land-I don’t think they passed up the chance to find people to trade with for new stuff they hadn’t seen before-we still do that all the time...

So much evidence of people traveling, trading and breeding with other people on the other side of oceans has been found that it finally can’t be ignored-humans have always been intelligent and curious...

"If the truth reveals that the current “Native Americans” weren’t the first people to populate the Americas, then they lose some all of their perceived “right” to claim to be the displaced rightful “owners” of the land.

Based on the Native Americans’ claims, I should have some special “rights” in Spain-along with anyone else whose ancestors in Spain were displaced and enslaved by the Romans, never mind that after a couple of centuries the two groups had interbred so much that you couldn’t tell a Roman from an indigenous Spaniard-and that happened everywhere those Romans went, so what about France, Britain, parts of Africa, etc-what about the descendants of those indigenous people that the Romans displaced? Somehow, I don’t see Italy stepping up to return parts of countries and pay reparations.

I wonder why none of these descendants of victims see how ridiculous it looks to demand reparations...

Including the US Govt., the Census Bureau, and most of academia.

Before Spain was, there was Portugal from whom the Spainiards learned all their evil tricks.
