His rituals would have been nearly twice as far in the past as Egypt’s First Dynasty. I doubt that an early Pharaoh would value what a modern Egyptian would do for a burial or that a modern Egyptian could guess at most of the right rituals for Menes, Hor-Aha, let alone for an ordinary man from the remote past, other than their surroundings and the mechanics of preparing the body. This is nonsense, but it’s politically correct nonsense so they are going with it.

Just off the top of my head, all human remains more that thirty generations old are not the property of any specific group, but part of the common heritage of humanity. And were are all entitled to look, handle, poke, prod them. to our heart’s content.
