Free money? Cool, as long as not one tax payer dime is use to pay off the bonds then that is cool.

Maybe the 50 million would be better spend educating the kids? Allen does not appearing to be doing a good job of that.
We do have the highest sales tax rate in the area, however.
The conundrum is how much less money would be spent if the Texas school system went back to what it was 30 years ago. Teaching reading, writing and arithmetic surely can’t cost as much as transgender studies and the mating cycle of the African tse-tse fly? Of course, new math will help our future scientists to take us to Mars better than the one room school houses that set the basics in the minds that took us to the moon.
A retired high school physics teacher that was a neighbor used to teach his students how to calculate a complete round trip to the moon with hand held calculators. Speeds, time, azimuths, mission elapsed time, orbital altitudes and speeds. Only after they had successfully done a mission would he then show them how to do it on a computer, I think an 8 megahertz with turbo!!!!!!
Common core is a disgrace and we are allowing the destruction of generations because of it. But damn, they can play some bad ass football and look good doing it as well as the bands, cheerleaders and of course the pep squad.
RANT key off now.
