Curt Schilling was recently fired by ESPN in large part because of his frequent social-media activity, specifically controversial memes and comments shared by the former pitcher. So when reports circulated online that ESPN had cut Schillings memorable bloody sock performance in the 2004 ALCS from its Sunday airing of a 30 for 30″ documentary about that Red Sox-Yankees showdown, it was no surprise to see him weigh in quickly, and strongly.

Beat me to it.
Seems an obvious opportunity out there for someone to beat up espn in the market place - sissy types have no biz running a sports network. They’re out of their minds and don’t know their customers.
Exactly. Another network (Fox Sports?) picks up Schilling and let’s him speak his mind. Watch the ratings soar. Of course, the leftists at ESPN/Disney think business success is less important than being PC.
Uniform leftism on TV was the genesis of FoxNews as a huge % of the customer base was underserved. A smart business person should take up the opportunity and steal a huge customer base from ESPN, the Liberal Sports Network (LSN).
I keep waiting for Fox Sports to pull together a truly competitive channel. They have hired a lot of big names, but 3/4 times I go over there, it’s some niche show about drag racing or soccer. They need to launch a second channel and do one bigtime, mainstream schedule and a second of the niche sports. I get their strategy, but they simply are not a viable alternative yet.
ESPN is nothing more than a leftist political operative. Its obvious when they interject political agenda during sports broadcasts.
I notice ESPN did not report the firing on Schilling on their home page. Prince got far, far more coverage than that.
I’m from Boston and I don’t like the fact that ESPN rewrites history. Whether the fired him or not, still no reason to take that segment out. If your a baseball fan, your know that the game 6 performance he turned in was monster. The fact that Curt was not a dominant pitcher makes it even more inspiring.
Haven’t watched ESPN in years. Big football fan, so NFL channels are just fine, even watching reruns.
“I keep waiting for Fox Sports to pull together a truly competitive channel.”
To my eye they are following the ESPN model. Not really trying to compete as much emulate. Maybe I’m wrong, as I don’t watch it much.
Yeppers....FoxNews has taken a decided Left turn......and they will lose beaucoup numbers of people because of it.
Yep. I used to watch ESPN a lot, it has become made and more about PC than sports.
I'm done with ESPN. Not watching their channels, not clicking on their web page anymore, unless and until they get out of the far left wing gutter and refocus on sports.
I just looked at their FB page. The “posts by others” section seems to have been shut down, not sure if it was like that before or not tough.
If any of these baseball players had any balls they would insist that they be left out of the show as well....
