I think what’s going on is this: Rush-a true conservative- sees Trump as not very conservative. He may be right. The Cheeto-dust guy- who’s wacko in my book- heard somewhere that Cruz is truly conservative. They’re both entertainers.

Here’s the problem with your analysis. Early on, Rush put on 3-hours of Trump cheer leading, day after day after day. Took all the air out of the room for everybody else. He didn’t analyze Trump’s conservative cred or lack of it. I no longer listen to Rush daily. However, now when I sometimes listen to him, he spins the Cruz nonsense. Rush is no longer cutting edge.
It’s quite amazing what Trump has managed to do in the last few months. Politics as usual has undergone a paradigm shift. Things will be quite different after Trump is elected, and I have no doubt he will be elected in a landslide.
Cruz, however, will be lucky to retain his senate seat in Texas.
