Rush is doing business trying to keep Cruzlim nation listening while not totally offending Trumpians.

Reminds me of the young soldier in the Civil War who couldn't decide if he should support the North or the South. Accordingly, he decided to wear a gray coat, and blue pants. In the end, he took more fire than if he had simply chosen one side or the other.

Rush has tried walking this delecate line that will, in the end, cost him millions of listeners and millions of dollars. He's set for life, so he'll be fine, but we lose one of the best conservative voices in the past fifty years. The irony is, that Rush for many years has mocked the moderates (middle-of-the-roaders who could not make definitive choices), and now he are one!

That civil war analogy is great, but I wouldn’t call Rush a moderate for trying to be fair to both candidates. Why does Cruz have to be destroyed? If it is a given that Trump has it sown up, why not try to start minding fences?
