You’re not a gardener… you’re a farmer!!! I envy your energy...

Well, a sort of nice visit then at least for you. Sympathies of the wisdom teeth. As my mother was not a great believer in dental work, I actually had no problems with my wisdom teeth, due to all the back molars having been pulled, because the cavities weren’t taken care of till too late.

If not for wisdom teeth, I’d have had no way to chew food long ago.

Grand daughter helped me dig the 12 hills of over wintered volunteer potatoes this afternoon. Maybe I should plant this years crop the year before…

Nice. Now that I know it’s possible to overwinter the potatoes, I may just leave some in the ground on purpose this fall. LOL

I never expected to get what I did as the bushes are not that big. The kohlrabi is doing great but I have to keep the row cover over them or the birds pick at the leaves and the garlic is starting to get the dreaded rust on the stalks.

My garlic appears to be doing pretty well this year compared to the last 2, but the proof will be when I actually dig up the bulbs. Usually close to June 1 before that happens.

Holy cats. That’s a lot of maters. What will you do with them? You’ve got a really nice setup!

Hubby loves the Cherokee Purples. Also something called ‘Large Barred Boar’ that we tried last year.

I will try to set out 25-30 eggplants and peppers today. If it doesn’t deluge.

And try to seed my winter squash (long of naples, Rumbo, Black Futsu) and plant a few beans (string beans and the long Asian beans).

That’s something else I need to start today. Herbs. I’m reminded to find my seed packets to make sure I don’t forget that.

I’ve got a French Tarragon I’ll try to keep alive this year. They usually do fine until mid/late June when the daytime temps are 90+ and the nighttime temps are 70+ and then they just melt away sort of. THIS year I’m going to put it in a nice container and see if it’ll be happy on my kitchen counter under a fluorescent under-counter light.

I’m hoping to make a few $$$ selling most of them.

I need to get another 400 or so in the ground asap.

;)

I do the same thing-I plan on just doing one thing and stay out for hours. I find such serenity being with nature and God’s creation.

I have 4 beds, about 3x5 each too- those I can handle. The big garden is overwhelming, at least psychologically. I need to just start on one patch, just like you said with the beds ;). It is a newly plowed garden so has a lot of grass, all that lovely green from a distance are not my plants ;(

The psychology of getting started and avoiding procrastination is always my biggest hill to climb.

I didn’t get any French tarragon this year, and need to get out the other herb seeds. Procrastination is rampant this year.
