LOL. Yep the almighty dollar speaks! It is always exciting starting something new, and often daunting at the same time. How far away from your previous place are you?

About 45 minutes...and a whole WORLD away! I’m now in Iowa County - much closer to The Mighty Mississippi River.

I’m in the part of Wisconsin that the Glaciers missed - so it’s very hilly and just stunningly beautiful!

The BIRDS! I’ve added a feeding station just off the front porch. So far...Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting and so many Goldfinch you’d think it was a Peeps Convention! Cardinals, soon to be Orioles (they’re on their way!) and I’ve been monitoring the progress of a Mama Robin and her three eggs and nest that are currently in our watering hose holder in the back. Two fuzzy chicks, so far. (She’s not real happy when I go to look, LOL!)

Also, a crazy male Pheasant that I’ve named, ‘Grover’ who has been hanging around in the back tree line, calling for a mate and enjoying tearing through the old compost pile back there. He’s turning it for me! Good Boy! LOL!

I’ve upgraded from 1.2 acres (with which I did a LOT!) to 160 acres of pure awesomeness. 100 in production (feed corn, hay and soybean) 30 in set-aside for growing big, delicious Bucks and 30 in Pasture, which is rented out for Heifers each season. (They’re so darn CUTE!)

Oh, and Beau will never be kicked out of bed for eatin’ crackers, either. He makes this all possible. ;)
