He may be right that the wrongness of Hilary is within what has become normal parameters, but that merely serves to say bad things about normal parameters. Trump is a leap into the dark, and one may argue for or against the leap into the dark, but I can not see the argument against the leap being an argument to lift a finger for Hilary.

If you are trapped in a sewage treatment pond but your head is above water and a big wave comes up which will wash you into someplace unknown, will you ride the wave? Or cling to a branch in the pond?

Any sensible person knows there are real risks associated with riding the wave, but staying in the pond is guaranteed to not end well.

You’re right: PJ wants to preserve the status quo (normal parameters), just like the establishment of both parties.
He is clever and pithy, but he has never been a true conservative - more of a quasi-libertarian/independent-whatever.
