That is bunch of bull

Apple uses the same OEMs as everyone else, Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi, Fujitsu/Toshiba, etc It is all the same stuff

And I could have recovered his data using any desktop Mac or windows, it is about the tools and how to use those tools. Not platform.

Have you ever recovered data from Apple computers? I have, plenty of times

Backup, backup, backup, I don’t care if you believe the Gay computer is infallible, back it up at all costs

And you're a liar and don't know what you're talking about. Look at WD hard drives, they are sold based on color labels designating quality. Black, Green, Red, etc. Windows machines use the cheapest parts, and the cheapest quality drives. Mac hard drives are held to a higher standard. It is not all the same stuff in the industry. You use higher quality drives in RAID arrays for critical purposes, versus mid-range in non-critical applications. Do your homework.

You may buy from the same OEM, but you aren’t buying the same product lines. OEM’s make different lines of products, if you have a $500 wintel machine, your HD may be made by the same manufacturer, but its not going to be the same model or line of product you find in a $2000 wintel or OSX machine.

Just like Ford makes the Fiesta and the Mustang Boss 302... both are Ford’s, built by the same manufacturer, but they are not remotely the same product.
