I don’t buy Mac for saving $$$.
I buy them because they are more secure than Windows machines and are more robust in construction.
BSD Unix is much more secure than Windows (name any version)

Oh and I worked for Intel for 25 years and probably helped design the microprocessor in your system.

Mac Pro is expensive because, one everything is custom.
Second it uses Multi Processor Xeon processors.
Soon to have Dual processor, 36 core.

Your home desktop is probably a max of 6 core but most likely 4 core.

I can buy the HP equivalent for less and load Linux or unix flavor os on it for less then the Mac

Don’t assume I don’t know workstation computing or enterprise servers

Whatever Apple put in that fancy toy of yours, I can buy off the shelf or from another manufacturer

There is nothing special about any of this stuff
