You have already assumed that there is something. Many philosophers have found this difficult to demonstrate conclusively.
I was thinking about this the other day. No matter how we contemplate nothingness, in our mind it remains something. The fact that true nothingness in inconceivable means that something is there. Hmmm...sounds a little like a corollary of Descartes.
