Nice!
Every time I see this headline I think they’re talking about a Mitsubishi airplane...
It’s lucky they never built a One or a Two.

Hancock makes the case that “Atlantis” may have been on the land mass called Sundaland before it was flooded by the melting ice (leaving present day Indonesia). Recent discoveries lead to a civilization going back 10,000 years or more.
Luwi, Luwi, oh no, I said we gotta go
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I said
Luwi, Luwi, oh baby, I said we gotta go
A fine little girl, she waits for me
Me catch a ship across the sea
Me sail that ship all alone
Me never think how I’ll make it home
Luwi, Luwi, no, no, no, no, no, I said we gotta go
Oh no, I said
Luwi, Luwi, oh baby, I said we gotta go
Three nights and days I sail the sea
I think of girl constantly
On that ship, I dream she there
I smell the rose in her hair
Luwi, Luwi, oh no, I said we gotta go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I said
Luwi, Luwi, oh baby, I said we gotta go
Okay, let’s give it to ‘em, right now!
Me see
Me see Trojan moon above
It won’t be long me see me love
Me take her in my arms and then
I tell her I’ll never leave again
Luwi, Luwi, oh no, I said we gotta go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I said
Luwi, Luwi, oh baby, I said we gotta go
I said we gotta go now
Let’s get on outta here
Let’s go!
LOL!

The Flood from Heaven: Deciphering the Atlantis Legend

The ocean’s all over the world, IOW, when the sealevel rose, lots of places got flooded. Plato knew about the Atlantic. He apparently didn’t know anything about Indonesia.
Sundaland (Indonesia) flora and fauna fit the Platonic description, just the place is wrong. Some 10 million square miles vanished virtually over night around 10600 BC and the start of the Younger Dryas mini ice age which lasted about 1000 years when the world’s climate once again warmed which date coincides with the sinking of Atlantis in 9600 BC.
Could be it’s only a legend.
It may have been a legend of some kind when Plato was in his youth, but all we can be sure of is, his is literally the only source of it. Flood stories are found in most cultures, including those with no known connection with the ocean, and the Atlantis story is, at heart, a flood story.

Flood stories are nearly universal and there are a lot of geologic anomalies that cause me to scratch my noggin. I wish the ancients had kept better records on nonperishable media.
Yeah, there’s something there — the stories are so different from one another that they came from the same (or similar) experience, rather than from the same written or oral source.
My personal take is that the flood resulted from a violent shift in the mid-Atlantic ridge in historic times, resulting in a massive tidal wave that swept across the continents. The movement created volcanic eruptions all around the tectonic plates and the ridge itself and caused prolonged rain storms across the world. Evidence for this is scattered across the globe.
Tks for the links..
My pleasure!
Interesting stuff. Thanks for providing!
