Following Target’s stepping in it foray into the transgender bathrooms debate, the American Family Association started a petition asking customers to join them in pledging to boycott the store “until it makes protecting women and children a priority.”
The petition amassed over 1.2 million signatures, and a copy of the petition was personally delivered to Target’s headquarters in Minneapolis.
Finally, Target executives met with the petition proponents to discuss the matter.
AFA President Tim Wilmon posted this update from the meeting with Target executives:
I met face-to-face with Target executives and spoke to them on your behalf, urging them to end this boycott by protecting women and children in their stores.
I offered a common-sense approach and a reasonable solution to the issue of transgendered customers: a unisex bathroom. Target should keep separate facilities for men and women, but for the trans community and for those who simply like using the bathroom alone, a single occupancy unisex option should be provided.

Wal Mart was cheaper than Target. At least in my area. Went in once to compare prices found Target more expensive, never went back.

There is a very simple way to get Target to change the policy: Every man should should use the women’s room — and leave the seat up.
They will never accept common sense of designating single occupancy bathrooms as a solution because the goal is not to solve the problem, the goal is to create a wedge issue to balkanize us.
They will always reject the idea saying that the single stall bathroom makes them FEEEEEEEEL like outcasts. So we must all be forced to feel uncomfortable for the sake of .03% of the population. Seriously, it’s a teeeny tiny number of people with this mental illness.

Men don’t lift the seat in the men’s restroom, they pee on it, why would they change that behavior in the women’s room?
In one egregious case, the DoJ got involved because the school said he could use the girl’s locker room but had to change in stalls they set up with curtains, and girls could change in the stalls, too.
The feds said that wasn’t fair - he had to have the right to be naked in front of the girls or it wasn’t really equal.
Even better.
I would have loved stalls in PE.
And the queers are going to quote the separate but equal status of the blacks in the pre-60’s south. They are going to insist that they have the right to squat anywhere they darn well wish to - watch.

That’s why I don’t like single use unisex bathrooms.
Very often they are dirty with pee on the seat and on the floor around the toilet.
Of course many women’s bathrooms can be disgusting too but in general they are better maintained and cleaner. The floors at least are not sticky with layers of dried pee.
If I have to use a unisex toilet, afterward I go outside and look for a piece of grass to scuffle along or a puddle of water to scuffle through to ‘clean’ my shoes’. Even then, when I get home I don’t wear my shoes into the house.

This is a wimpy request. If we got Target’s ear by this petition, we should have demanded the moon. Reverse many of the pro-homo policies they’ve put in place or the boycott continues.
