I don’t know anything about Linux. Only had to learn about computers after my old laptop got slaughtered by a virus a couple years ago.
Linux is pretty friendly depending on how you perform the installation. You can choose your desktop program, unlike with Microsoft.
Linux is also fully documented, complete with source code if you are that brazen. I switched to Linux; and, now I am quite happy with it. Linux is much more robust with respect to Microsoft.
