What is the sick part?
That event was a very well-known part of U.S. history.
A well-heeled person wished to have a part of it.

He should have had that fat, tub of lard, former girlfriend of St. Trayvon to autograph it.In cursive, of course.

Lunacy.
The same money will buy a SIG 210 and a darn nice holiday in Bora Bora.

If I were a wealthy gun collector (and I am neither), I would want that gun for its historical value.

It’s not as seminal of an event as some people think.
Perhaps the person who bought it wanted GZ to have the money, but to buy it just to display with a little name tag of “gun that killed Treyvon Martin” is kinda sick.
Hopefully it will be quietly destroyed.

Well, your SIG 210 and the holiday in Bora Bora will never be ensconced in history unless you use your SIG 210 to defend yourself from .......coconut throwing natives?

It represents part of the turning point where decent Americans began to turn this country around.
It does not necessarily need to be a seminal event in the older classical sense of the word.

He was not guilty yet liberal thuggery will prevent him from ever getting a decent job again. I wish he had gotten even more.

Sell it as a Replica.
Put it in a Shadow Box with a Hoodie, Skittles and an Arizona Watermelon Drink.
Give George Zimmerman $100 to Autograph it and sell it to those Pawn Stars guys.

I think the gratuitous birth of the meme ‘white Hispanic’ was more poignant.

I’ve never been real big on “history” firearms - spending a fortune for Patton’s Smith and Wesson or a carbine from the Little Big Horn or Brown Bess from Lexington/Concord.
Maybe that’s just me.
And I wonder if the “value” of this pistol will hold up over time...
