Not true - it was selective enforcement by petty totalitarians. He's a human being, not a slave.

What did he think would happen? That when push came to shove the rule would disappear, just for him?

I usually wear facial hair. Sometimes, including at the moment, I have to shave for reasons outside of my control. The magical thing about facial hair is that it grows back.

Yea I hope he learned that dumb rules are dumb.. and not to be a follower... screw the graduation ceremony..
