Proud to be part of that decline last year. Smoked a carton a week of Marlboro 100s for 30 years. Woke up the morning of December 19th with a chest cold and said, "I'm not going to smoke today."

Haven't smoked since. No gum, vaping, pills, patches either. Straight cold turkey.

I'm feeling great!!!

Congratulations! Now, try not to hang around other smokers. That’s one of the major factors of recidivism.

After 58 years of two-packs-a-day, I bought a vape. In three days my cough stopped (completely) and my nose cleared up. That was two years ago last Sunday. Never even thought about cigarettes once I started vaping.

Doesn’t work for everyone. Many friends relapsed. But when it works, it works.

I remember when a carton of ‘Boro’s was...four dollars?

Most popular brand in Vietnam, I recall.

Anyway, smoking’s an expensive habit. I quit in 1980. June 15th, to be exact. God was merciful; He just reached down and turned off any desire for another smoke, and that was that.

Cold Turkey. You have awesome self control to have quit that way.

Congratulations!
