She died 5 months ago. She wanted no announcement, and none was made until now. Nice to know someone from Hollywood doesn’t demand attention at the very end. RIP

“Kiss my Grits” was Flo’s (played by Polly Holliday)expression. Beth was probably one of those actors that if you were to have met them personally and have never seen them play the character that they were well known or famous for, you probably would not have guessed that they actually did play a character like that.

Kind of like Larry Linville (Frank Burns on M*A*S*H) or Polly Holliday or Richard Sanders (Les Nessman on WKRP) or Bob Denver (Gilligan) or Edward G Robinson (played tough guys in his movies, but in real life was a well read, thoughtful man who had one of the best eyes for art in Hollywood in his day).
