First of all, you can bet UT is knee deep in this. They hated Grant Teaff because he hurt UT’s recruitment by reporting their shenanigans.
Second, there must me a lot for them to fire Briles.
Third, my wife said “This had to happen the year we finally joined the Bear Club.”
Fourth, Baylor’s program will now go back to the cellar. They’ll never find another coach that can do what Briles did.
Finally, I read an article by some left winger that said Starr hid behind the laws of confidentiality”. How do you hide behind a law that says you can’t discuss this stuff and you can’t name names? Bottom line is if a woman is raped she should go to the cops. Not the athletic department.
And by the way, were these women jumped by some thug hiding in the shadows or did they accept a date with a thug? Not saying that gives a thug the right to rape a woman and I NEVER blame the women for being raped. But I do BLAME a woman for dating a football thug just because he plays football. And that happens all the time.
With that said, if they’re found guilty they should hang. The problem is the “he said, she said” aspect.
Hiding behind confidentiality is when you say you can’t discuss what you’re doing about the situation because it’s confidential but you’re not actually doing anything about the situation.
And maybe Baylor will return to what they should be. A place where Christian values are emphasized.

Hopefully, they won’t find another coach who will cover up rape and sexual assault.
