I have no prediction, I’m just happy for the ride. If the Penguins don’t win the Cup, it’s because they ran into a formidable foe.

The story line is all in place, but we shall see what the hockey gods decide. New coach, key late season additions, lots of energy and enthusiasm. It’s all there but the magic ending now.

saw this on twitter yesterday, it's from a Polish proverb and it totally captures my attitude towards trump

NOT MY CIRCUS, NOT MY MONKEYS

i am not emotionally invested, don't need to defend his antics. he is what he is. i will vote for him but that is absolutely all i will do.

I first saw that saying maybe 6 months ago. Fits a lot of situations.

You wouldn’t figure them to have a lot of monkey proverbs.

Just got home from work-managed to collect on all put 1 little job, so we can all pay our bills-I bought a ribeye steak on the way home to grill for my own little treat...

When I was in college, moral turpitude was grounds for firing an LEO in most of the counties around-I was told that by the one I was dating at the time-Nemesis-I don’t know if it still is...

The Clintons are both perfect
Examples of moral turpitude-
When they hold political office
We just end up being screwed

Hillary has no honesty at all
While Bill just has no shame-
She never recalls what she did
And he treats sex like a game

If they get back into the WH
They’ll steal even more stuff-
Last time they got silverware-
You can bet it wasn’t enough...

Thank you! I hope you enjoyed the evening’s absence of liberal talking points...

I did something I almost never do yesterday-there is a tiny hardware store about 8 miles away that carries just the most basic stuff-it is owned by a couple, and the woman is one of those people who just lives to spread gossip she has enhanced-slander, really-I’m surprised someone hasn’t taken her out back and kicked her ass, at the very least-it will happen eventually...

I stopped there on the way home from my payment collecting to get a few pieces of chicken wire to keep deer out of my herbs, and one of the guys I work with came up to talk when I was headed for the checkout. When he mentioned the name of a neighbor of our acquaintance who is married and has a lover on the side, the woman who is one of the owners of the store-who was at the checkout counter-gave us a sideways look and we knew her ears had perked up for tidbits...

The guy and I both speak Spanish, but that woman does not-I’ve heard her say she wonders why people speak it around her, as if she doesn’t know how toxic her tongue is. I nodded my head at my co-worker, answered him in Spanish-we continued our conversation in that language, making sure to use a low tone that said we were discussing something risqué-by the time we walked to the checkout, smiling, I swear her teeth were clenched. As I left, I waved to the nosy bitch and told her to have a lovely day. Yes, what we did was totally rude-but it was fun, and people like that woman deserve rude...

I don’t use symbols like the 8<), so the meaning escapes me-but I’m glad we got paid, too...

I like gossip as well as the next person, but I have no patience with someone who embellishes truth about those they don’t like with lurid stuff.

I was told as a child that it is very impolite to hold a public conversation with someone in a language that others do not speak-but I made an exception for that vicious busybody...Thanks-but I will admit to a good deal of malice where that woman is concerned-there is nothing likeable about her, as far as I-and quite a few of my neighbors-are concerned.

Ah, so sorry.
Looking sideways, the 8 are the eyeglasses above a nose and a smile.

Since the river is so high, most of the trails are under water-and the still-dry grassy areas near the tree line unsafe, with frantic snakes trying to get dry and warm up. The water had receded yesterday quite a bit, but it stormed again at 6:30 this morning, so it came back up and it is still almost at flood level. There have been high water rescues by deputies and EMT’s all over the county the last two days, several travel trailers, RV’s and even a truck washed out of one of the riverside RV camps...

Some foolish tourist drove an 18-19 ft boat upriver to here from the lake on Friday afternoon before all the rain, looking for a deep, calm pool to park in and go swimming, but ended up trashing his prop and drive unit when he ran aground on a set of rapids-it was so loud that I and a couple of neighbors went down and yelled to the guy to see if he was okay-he was on a cell phone, calling for someone to come get him.

Anyone who has gone canoeing on this river knows that upriver from the lake it is narrow, shallow, fast running and rapids every 100 yds or so until you get to a place called ranger crossing, many miles north-that is where it widens out, slows down and there are long, deep stretches to canoe in and enjoy seeing the birds and animals in the woods along the bank.

The tourist apparently did not find a tow truck to get his boat out-my neighbors and I watched as he stuck the anchor in amongst the big rocks on the bank and walked up the hill-he must not have known anyone who does towing, since the boat was still there at 8:30 pm.

Hail and rain started in the wee hours on Saturday, and by 7:30am, the river was about 10 feet up and rushing-and the boat was nowhere in sight-glad I’m not the one who has to explain that to my insurance co...
