Disney's 'Mary Poppins Returns' Gets December 2018 Release Date

Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda are starring in the Rob Marshall-directed film.

Disney on Monday announced that its Mary Poppins sequel will open on Dec. 25, 2018, more than five decades after the 1964 classic film first played in theaters. The studio also revealed the movie's title for the first time: Mary Poppins Returns.

I was nine years old when the original came out. My Brother and I saw just about everything done in the 1960’s and it was a Feast of great actors, actresses, stories and just plain fun movies. The decades since have not been the same.

I will not have any desire to see a remake, no more Julie Andrews’ or any of the rest of that cast. Side note, “The Americanization of Emily” came out first I think that same year. Great movies!
