We do endeavor, at times, to deliberately confuse. Here is a perfectly sensible word, typically confused with another, that has varied meanings and usages.

Find your favorite and demonstrate your literary prowess. Acknowledgements in the AM, as ever.

Megyn Kelly agrees with The Donald; it’s time to TITIVATE the most productive qualities of his campaign and to discard what’s not working.

Bill Kristol attempted to tittivate his intentions to recruit a third party candidate to run against Trump by offering up the unknown David French.

“Spend an hour in tittivating
For the Gentlemen in waiting
Then we run on little errands for the ministers of state”

The “howjsay.com” website wouldn’t pronounce “titivate”. However, it did offer up “tittivated” as an alternative, with a pair of “tt’s”.

I’ve always said, there’s nothing wrong with a nice pair of tt’s.

My dad who was in the Navy would say after dinner, “Girls, titivate the galley.”

I love my dad. He also referred to the water cistern on my counter as the “scuttlebutt.”

Efficiency in titivation should count for something:

Cleaning House

I’m glad I have a trailer,
That’s square in its aspect.
It makes the cleaning of the place,
So very much more direct!

When I’m through mopping on the floor,
I roll it on its side,
I clean the whole place in a flash!
Who needs a double-wide?

I catch the ceiling and the walls,
As quickly as the floor.
I clean the bedrooms and the halls,
The drain is my front door.

I’ve got my stuff all bolted down,
To keep it from migrating,
When social workers come to call,
I get the highest rating!

This probably titivates all the negative publicity toward her:

They say that with a divorce there are 3 sides to the story — his, hers, and the real. Although some of her charges might be valid, I have no sympathy for her.

I do not at all condone spousal abuse. However, someone calculating knows what she is getting into.
