No, he shouldn’t have, and he it looks like he was about to be cleared to fight again.

This guy had no business in the cage, they wanted him there for ratings and money, and it’s probably just a bit of dumb luck that he dead keel over on TV, which would have been not so great for the sport, I imagine.

Slice (5-2) was scheduled to fight James Thompson at Bellator 158 on July 16 in London, but according to Mike Brown, his head coach at American Top Team, Slice had intended to withdraw from the event
