I have a lot of pent up road rage and that sounds good to me.

There are some places that would be nice to take over if long-term security could be assured. OTOH, there are places down there where a nuclear explosion would mean an improvement.

As a Christian, I try to treat others as I wish to be treated.
But as for the turn the other cheek business, when somebody starts pummeling me, I tend to do unto the other guy as I am being done to.
Just sayin’.

Not worth taking over. Just build a wall, cut off the money being sent to Mexico and let them do themselves in. We don’t want responsibility for that basket case.

“Serve and Protect”???

YUP!

"Serve and Protect" their paychecks and pensions.

Forty plus years (at least) of the "Us against Them" mentality is slowly coming to its inevitable conclusion.

The taxpayers (Them) did NOT want it to come to this, but the actions/inactions of the police (Us) leave no alternative.

Mexico has committed acts of war. We should invade and take over that corrupt hellhole!

Indeed. We might have to once again before it's all over, as the price of relieving revolutionary "pressure" in support of their ruling oligarchs in Mexico's true Valley for so many, many decades.

I would prefer any future war with Mexico serve to unite our nation, rather than divide us.

But, dreams of an "Aztlan" are based on sheer fantasy, as anyone who has studied the history of our Southwest objectively can tell you.

We don't just need to build a "wall," or an electronic frontier, or whatever. We will likely have to prove willing to defend our borders and fight a regional war inside our borders, perhaps in the streets of LA, before such a project is half completed.

No don’t take it over; you would just be inheriting their problems, “nuke it from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure”.

During my training in the Corps we were told (ordered) that there is no such thing as a warning shot.
If you are going to shoot, you had better destroy the target.

“I would prefer any future war with Mexico serve to unite our nation, rather than divide us.”

Totally agree. No one can live forever with an enemy at the gates. We need to secure the place for Mexicans from the corrupts regimes.

I suspect this is want certain people in authority want to happen. Then 0bama will declare a general state of emergency and cancel the election.

No one can live forever with an enemy at the gates.

Just as no house can stand divided against itself. If our nation is not careful, we'll end up like Paris in 1871.

Or we could play Prussia's part in that awful play. Neither is a pleasant prospect, but acting as a relief pressure valve for Mexico's internal corruption has only served to delay the revolutionary forces down there that must inevitably correct that corruption, and it has served to corrupt ourselves.

Mrs. Clinton is a silly tool of the technocrats in Brussels and at State, at Foggy Bottom.

We are precariously situated upon a powder keg.

My Jeep Rubicon comes stock with skid plates. Nothing I can't fix with a hose once I get home :-)
