I have laboured to think of any good reason for personnel to wear camo on a warship, but come up blank. Anybody have an idea?

I know a Navy Captain who worked with some of the higher staff at the Pentagon and I asked him about the camo.

He told me the thinking was the Navy wanted the sailors to be a little less conspicuous while on board the ship in foreign ports. The camo is supposed to make it harder for snipers to pick them off.

Hmmmm ..... if that were the case, wouldn’t a solid sea grey ensemble suit the purpose better?
