There are Muslim dominated places where Muslims are demanding public adherence of non-Muslims. The French woman assaulted for selling alcohol during Ramadan last week is one. Other Muslim nations punishing non-Muslims for smoking or eating at restaurants is another - in private was tolerated, but public was not.
