I haven’t read the story but I can’t imagine living with his guilt if what I think happened, happened! Some are instinctively heroes, some panic and can’t move, some scream and can’t stop, some all huddle up, but most focus on their immediate survival. I don’t think I could forgive myself in his shoes...
