Your former employer had some gorgeous climbing roses in their online catalog this past spring. I had to restrain the ‘buy now’ impulse by reminding myself if they were happy in WI they’d be VERY unhappy in my backyard.

Your greens sound delicious. We passed salad season about a month ago. I am thinking of growing some baby lettuces in a box of some sort on my countertop under the undercounter flourescents though. Haven’t gotten around to doing more than thinking of that right now though.

I stopped at the store, today. I needed mulch. It took all, and I mean ALL of my self-control to stay OUT of the Nursery Yard. Roses are now B 1 Get 2 FREE!

But, as I said, I gotta think on this a bit...

I also have a display garden area to fix up that’s going to be all evergreens and roses (I just LOVE that look!) and my future SIL is going to help me with the Shade Garden on the North side of the house. I’ve never had SHADE before; so I have many new perennials to discover. :)
