A jury has found a former Vanderbilt football player guilty on all charges for his role in the rape of an unconscious woman.

Brandon Vandenburg was found guilty by the jury in Nashville of raping the woman who he was dating at the time in his Vanderbilt dorm room three years ago.

The jury took four hours to make their decision and delivered their verdict just after 8.20pm local time.

Vandenburg now faces a potential jail sentence of up to 25 years and was taken into custody as soon as the verdicts were read out while his parents began to cry.

“Yeah, they are taught all those things, but then they do stuff like this. Stanford, now this and who knows how many others. Frankly, there isn’t a NEED for an athletic program at uni.”

No, “they” do not do this. An extremely small minority of this group gets into trouble. As compared to the general student body, student athletes get into less legal trouble then the rest, thing is athletes in trouble with the law makes sensational news headlines.

Accusing all athletes of being immoral is bigoted and has no place in discussions of schools of higher education. There is no NEED for bigots of any sort in our universities.

Perhaps you are mad, for some reason, that over 2/3 of the elected US presidents in the last 100 years were varsity athletes in college.

I mean this humorously, that it’s no wonder our country is such a mess; we elected dopey athletes.

I never knew that to be honest.

As for this being in the minority, there’s still no reason to basically let in those who are not there to study, but to party.
