No one ever writes a four volume set about Gerald R. Ford anymore.
Right now I am on volume two of James MacGregor Burn’s bio of Franklin Roosevelt. I realized in all my reading I had never read a comprehensive bio of him and I had to research around to find one I thought was really good.
Volume two, the war years, was what I was most interested in and it has been fascinating to read. I probably now have a higher opinion of FDR than before. I don't know how any one man could have shouldered such a burden during any war, but especially W.W. II. It truly killed him health wise.
Eisenhower also had a terrible burden in comparison with his being Supreme Commander in Europe. He literally lived on a diet 3 to 4 packs of cigarette's and coffee. Similarly to Roosevelt.
lol does anyone ever write anything about Gerald Ford??
