First I’ve ever heard of this gentleman.
I can’t imagine how I missed his story.
Mr. Paranto would be well advised to secure some Trump style security asap.
I got a fund raising email today from him, for his PAC asking for $100 and I would get a copy of the book. It was somehow connected to Scott Walker but it came to spam and I deleted it after reading it to the bottom and seeing Scott Walker.
I would like to read the book though.
I attended a dinner for a non-profit veterans assistance organization recently in Detroit, and Mr. Paronto was the key note speaker. He spoke for over an hour and a half.
His own account of what he experienced in Benghazi was one of extreme duress, true heroes, and of those who paid the ultimate price for the policies of our current administration.
His account of who they lost and what they did to try and save people during a horrific fire fight was absolutely heart rending.
Many of our operator’s knew they were going to die, and they fought (sometimes without limbs or with horrific injuries) until they were gone. And while they fought, they continued to reach out for help which never came.
But worst of all, they were lost due to a weapons smuggling scheme to what was once AQI in Iraq, now referred to as ISIS, or ISIL (Islamic States of Iraq and Levant) if you are being reverent toward Islam and officially recognizing ISIL as a caliphate.
No matter how many times they cried out for help, using all emergency codes, frequencies, and voice, they were refused help.
With few exceptions, almost every American fighter (Soldier operator) who arrived in Benghazi after multiple calls for help, to try and save State Department officials and embassy staff, were literally there because they paid cash out of their own pockets to get there ASAP, because no official support was being allowed by our military.
Mr. Paronto nearly lost his life several times, and believes there is no human reason why he is still alive.
Almost every person he was fighting along side of was killed. He himself was shot and blown around by the concussion of multiple RPG’s landing all around him.
Many of the state department guys he and a handful of other U.S. Soldiers had already saved continued to not listen to them, placing Mr. Paronto and the special operator’s repeatedly in danger, eventually resulting in the deaths of several more State Department personnel and killing more of them.
He is a real life modern day patriot, who is very much placing his life in danger now for speaking out.
He stated that he realized for the first time, when he injured badly and thought he was going to die, that God was with him during that fight, and that God must have a purpose for him, because he was still alive.
Mr. Paronto now believes one of his purposes is to shed light on what happened and to try and wake up America!
He is not a Hollywood hero, he is a real hero!
