Linux cinammon mint 17.2 is excellent.
Cobbled together an old pc. Single 64bit athlon, 4g ram, gt610 vid card. And it runs better than any windoze box that has dual proc.
Really like Linux.
Still running Linux Mint 13 (or 14, not sure) KDE -64 LTE on one machine, Athlon -64 dual core older machine. Never had a crash, never had any compatibility problems with peripherals, and NEVER demanded or forced any “upgrade” to Win10 that I can recall.
