If the Boomers are wising up to the stupidity of economic strip mining and lowest common denominator labor wages for the global workforce, more power to them.
As a Gen-Xer working at a major corporation, I am weeping everytime a boomer walks out the door. Why? Because I now have to do their job, my job, and take care of the know-it-all never-done-anything group of 20 somethings that think they should be VP’s after 3 years of experience. Yes, it is that painful.
I’m in my mid-40s, and a lot of the older people I started working with have retired or died. I miss working with people that show up on time, don’t wear pajamas to work, or spend all their time on their smartphones...Heck, here in NJ I miss working with people that can write a coherent email in English...
