In 1964 the No. East R Establishment left, among them Rockefeller/NY, Scranton/Pa, Cahill/NJ, Richardson/Ma and Romney/Mich( father of the current scumbag); produced TV ads forcefully attacking the character of GOP nominee Barry Goldwater; a distinguished USAF Brigadier General. Thus insuring his crushing defeat by Baines Johnson. Not only that, but Mitt's Dad helped form a movement called “Republicans and Independents for Johnson.”
