[Vanity] Clinton Supporters Angry at Comey for "Editorializing" and then Exonerating
Washington Post and Other outlets | July 5, 2016 | nwrep

Democrats in the blogosphere and the news media, after breathing a sigh of relief at the non-indictment, are expressing consternation at what they see as extensive editorializing by James Comey in the Press Statement prior to reaching his conclusion of a non-referral for prosecution.

After they have had a chance to ponder over the extensive comments by Comey describing the recklessness of Clinton's actions, and the potential treasure trove of quote-worthy damnations against Clinton, they are wondering if it was appropriate for him to indulge in editorializing her actions if he was not going to recommend prosecutorial actions.

See for example Ruth Marcus's (WP Editorial Board) article on this issue today:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-comeys-remarks-on-the-clinton-email-case-were-extraordinary/2016/07/05/b964813c-42e0-11e6-8856-f26de2537a9d_story.html

There is a creeping recognition that this might be a pyrrhic victory for Clinton, and the damage done by Comey's comments may be long-lasting.

Justice has not been served, but Comey may have known that the political appointees in Lynch’s office would not have gone through with it, Hence, he skewered her to the point where the Dems are furious with him.

Trump’s chances have remarkably improved and are FAR better facing a damaged Hillary Clinton than an untainted Joe Biden.

Wait until he is called up to Capital Hill to testify. With the investigation now concluded and the no indictment recommendation (which Lynch has said she will accept), Comey may have a heck of a lot to say. All of it negative.

Then there is the matter of who transcribed all those classified documents from classified servers to Clinton’s private email network. We can yet hope that one or two of her inner circle will be charged for that.

One can only hope.

Maybe we will also discover if there is an active investigation concerning Hiliary’s time at State and donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Good analysis. Hoping for the best out of the mess.

He laid out the criminal case and proved her a multiple liar and felon, warned that others who do the same can expect to be prosecuted and then did not recommend indicting her.

I believe he was under tremendous outside pressure and didn't have the balls to go the whole right route but decided to make it clear that she's a criminal.

Comey was told the case was going nowhere by Obama and Lynch. He was told he was going to recommend no prosecution so it doesn’t even have to be ignored by the DOJ. This was his way of getting the facts of the FBI investigation into the open.
Ditto!

Love Allen West. His reaction mirrors my own. While I’d love to see Hillary thrown in prison...I knew that wasn’t going to happen...

So Come has offered the next best thing: His honest opinion that can be wrapped around Crooked Hillary all the way to November.

It’s not bizarre at all - he was sending a message: “I’d indict if I could.”

“Man... you can’t sneak anything past these Clinton Supporters. I mean... right after they read articles where it was discussed how damaging Comey’s statements were to Hillary, they got angry. How dare Comey state that Hillary was guilty as hell, but that no one in power wanted to indict her on any charges. How dare he tell the truth”

Yep, some D-bag RAT on Fox last night essentially said all the evidence that Comey outlined were lies.

Comey could still release the video of Hillary’s interview.

Especially if a Congressional inquiry requests it.

Hillary could not very well ask for special treatment of the type Comey’s FBI gave her on the basis that she was a high ranked federal employee, and then ask for FBI protection of her privacy on the grounds that she was merely a private citizen.

Hillary’s FBI video probably has 3 1/2 hours of “I cannot recall” statements on it...

He could explain simply by taking out his wallet and showing pictures of his loved ones.
