If you got sufficiently high, and I’m not talking weed here, Zappa’s music faded into the background and the lyrics started broadcasting to you personally. It was like another brain connection.

I read the article. It’s nonsense.
Zappa produced crap by the buckets-load but he also put out some very good stuff. Sheik Yerbouti was a good album, as was Uncle Meat, as was Weasels Ripped My Flesh, as was...

If his opinion of Zappa is so low, then why even bother making this documentary? Playing the devil’s advocate can get him short term attention, but not long term credibility or popularity. Frank was fantastic with both music and his words. Only Frank could sing certain songs to full effect, with his deep voice coated in sarcasm. His jazz was ‘both powerful and delicious’, if you are looking for listenable jazz, heavy on fusion.

Zappa was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I once skipped work and nearly got fired to go to one of his concerts
“Do you know who you are?
You are what you iz
You aint what you not
And that all there is”
Brilliant.
